When resources such as time or personnel are tight, holding an awayday can seem like a luxury too far. Here are some things to think about before you proceed:

  • Clarify that there is a need for an awayday (as opposed to a feeling that you 'should' be holding one). If the need for an awayday is compelling enough, issues such as lack of time will become less important. We help you identify a business case

  • Maybe you don't need to leave the office. Our first step is to think creatively. How might we achieve the same objectives as an awayday without leaving the office? Or maybe you can do something enjoyable but with a business focus outside office hours

  • Get senior management involved. With support and sponsorship from the top, resource issues often magically disappear!
